VENOM
I just thought i would post this, because Venom is awesome. Plus... Click on this link to hear thier new demo. http://www.venomslegions.com/media2/musyk1.htm

"According to an official press release, "Metal Black" "sees original founder band member Cronos creating a new masterpiece of metal together with [drummer] Antton and [guitarist] Mykvs. With 14 brand new roaring and vital tracks, VENOM are again taking the goat by the horns and reinventing their own original style . . . 'Metal Black' [is] an album that harkens back to the writing style of the '80s VENOM with a powerful production to incinerate any sound system, truly demonic in every sense and with the delivery ofa charging beast."

Commented Mykvs: "The album has a very raw feel. The intensity of the songs is awesome. We recorded the album as a live band, three demons bleeding for the heaviest metal we could create, and our new album will show that VENOM keeps getting stronger and heavier. Lay down your souls, muthafuckers, we have returned."

A March 2006 release via Castle Records/Sanctuary Group is expected.

"Metal Black" track listing:

01. Antechrist
02. Burn In Hell
03. House of Pain
04. Death & Dying
05. Rege Satanas
06. Darkest Realm
07. A Good Day to Die
08. Assassin
09. Lucifer Rising
10. Blessed Dead
11. Hours of Darkness
12. Sleep When I'm Dead
13. Maleficarvm
14. Metal Black

LONG LIVE EMPEROR
It’s official, EMPEROR have reunited to play some exclusive shows. The band is confirmed to headline the Inferno Festival and Wacken Open air 2006!!!

The band reunited after four years to play a surprise three-song set for Norwegian metal magazine Scream's 15-year anniversary, which took place at Oslo's Rockefeller Sept. 30. 2005. The band took the scene by surprise, performed three tracks — "The Loss And Curse Of Reverence", "I Am The Black Wizards", "Inno A Satana" — and received a rapturous welcome by an ecstatic crowd. Announced as a "big surprise band," the whole arrangement was so secret that neither organizers of the magazine's anniversary party nor the band itself told their closest friends and associates. Anyone that feels they missed out, fear not, next year is when the big events take place. The surprise gig was merely a cool way to “drop the bomb” and create even bigger anticipation for the upcoming shows.

In related news, Samoth and Trym will start recording the third ZYKLON album in November and Ihsahn releasing a solo album early next year. More news to follow!

2005 Cd Releases
So far i have heard a bunch of new cds...

Opeth - Ghost Revaries: This cd is awesome!!! Brilliant!!! You gotta get this one... It's really good.

Children Of Bodom - Are You Dead Yet?: This cd pretty much sucks... There is nothing special about any of the songs (With the exception of "Trashed Lost And Strungout", but that song was already released as an EP, so just save your money and buy that). Mostly all thier shit is good, but it sounds like they got lazy with this one... I say... Just go out and buy "Follow The Reaper", and "Hatecrew Death roll" instead haha.

Iron Maiden - Death On The Road: Great Live Cd!!!! The setlist could have been better, but then again... it's Iron Maiden, so it doesen't really matter. If there are some songs that you wanted to hear on this cd that are not on there... they have so many Live albums out, so i am sure it's on one of them lol.

Helloween - Mrs. God Single: I think there are a couple different versions of this single, but the one i have has 3 songs on it. "Mrs. God" is a decent song, but the other two suck. Lets hope "The Keeper Of The Seven Keys - The Legacy" lives up to the past "Keeper" albums.

Dream Theater - Octavarium: I wasn't that impressed with this one... There are some really good songs on it, but in my opinion it does not live up to some of thier other work. But yeah... IT IS Dream Theater, so just that said... it means that the musicianship on this cd is better than like 99.9% of all bands out there... so just for that, it's worth listening to lol.

If anyone has any great 2005 albums you want to share with this community... By all means, please do...

Some Kind Of Monster
For the first post in this community... lets talk about one of the most famous metal bands ever METALLICA. I just watched the documentary "Some Kind Of Monster" on Vh1. I have to say, i thought it was quite pathetic. All that meaningless bullshit, and complaining. Lars complains about everything possible, and meanwhile, he is selling his paintings, and getting millions and millions of dollars. I don't understand what they have to be so depressed about.
When it comes to recording "St Anger", Kurt says he doesen't want to play solos, because they don't want to "repeat" what they did the past. Hmmmmmm... Maybe he is just lazy, or maybe he realized that all the songs on that album suck, and are not worth adding anything to, because they know people will buy it anyway.
The fact is... "St Anger" does not represent the the kind of album they are capable of. It represents lazy, money hungry, selfish assholes. That is my opinion.

What does everyone think of Metallica?
